Breweries and Distilleries

Breweries and distilleries in the New River Gorge region offer tours and tastings and host events year round, and most provide beer and wines to local shops, bars, and restaurants. The region around the New River Gorge was once renowned for its moonshine. Brewers often choose to brew beers inspired by the region's history or fame as an outdoor recreation destination.

Brewed in the Greenbrier Valley and available throughout West Virginia and southern Virginia, our craft beers are designed to capture the essence of the adventure of life in the Mountain State. Round off your experience in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia with our delicious brews after a day of adventure. Proud as we are of our mountain heritage, we pay homage to the Mountain State by naming our flagship brews after legendary West Virginia characters, including Mothman, Sasquatch and Devil Anse Hatfield. We've named our seasonal brews after our home county and river such as Greenbrier Oktoberfest and paddling and hiking terms such as "Double-Z," "Lilly Dipper," and "Winter Run." Tours of our state-of-the art, environmentally friendly brewery near Lewisburg are available by appointment on weekends, and our tap room is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Visit our site for taproom hours and regular upcoming events.
